The purpose of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual Resource Center (LGBTQIARC) is to provide an open, safe, inclusive space and community that is committed to challenging sexism, genderism, homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, and heterosexism. We recognize that this work requires a continued process of understanding and addressing all forms of oppression.  We are committed to this process both in our work and in the structure of the Center itself.  The LGBTQIA Resource Center Promotes education about all sexes, genders, and sexualities, as well as space for self-exploration of these identities.

The East Texas Crisis Center is dedicated to providing safety, shelter, and education for victims of family violence, sexual assault, and other violent crime.  Commitment to restoring dignity and purpose in the lives of victims and promoting public compassion and awareness in order to reduce violence in our community.

Approximately 15,000 LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning) youth live in North Texas, yet there are minimal resources available for meeting their unique needs. Youth First is one of the only LGBTQ-focused youth programs in North Texas that addresses the challenges these youth face with family members, peers and fellow students.

Serving middle and high school aged youth, 12-18, Youth First equips them with the skills they need to lead an open life. Family ties are strengthened, peer support networks are built and mental health is supported through activities that build confidence and address the specific issues that LGBTQ teens face during their critical, formative years.
